Surprisingly it works
This is surprisingly effective at getting me to fall asleep. Its sort of hypnotizing watching the light. I try to keep my eyes open and match my breathing to it as long as I can. Eventually my eyelids get heavy and I pass out.
Focusing on the light takes your mind off other issues and the pace of the light forces you to slow your breathing and ultimately heart rate.
It works great when going to bed—but havent found it as effective for getting back to sleep.
But I will say I am taking way less Ambien these days—and thats a good thing!
